Section 1: Establishment of the Fund, etc.

(1) There shall he established a fund to be known as the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund (in this Act referred to as "the Fund") for the purpose of providing guarantees in respect of loans granted for agricultural purposes by any bank in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
(2) The guarantees to which subsection (1) of this section relates are guarantees in relation to the payment of the interest and principal of the loan.

The reference in this section to agricultural purposes is a reference to any of the purposes set out in the Schedule to this Act.

(4) The Minister may by order published in the Federal Gazette add to, delete from, or otherwise vary the provisions of the Schedule to this Act.
