Section 49: Provisions of sections 12 and 13 to apply to arrests under section 48

(1) The provisions of sections 12 and 13 of this Act shall apply to arrests under section 48 of this Act, although the person making any such arrest is not acting under a warrant and is not a police officer having authority to arrest.
