Section 188: Bondsperson may arrest absconding defendant or suspect

Where a bondsperson arrests a defendant or suspect who is absconding or who he believes is trying to evade or avoid appearance in court he shall:(a) immediately hand him over to the nearest police station; and
(b) the defendant arrested shall be taken to the appropriate court within 12 hours.
